I plan on stepping up my photography skills soon, thanks to that Digital Rebel XT we picked up, but for now I figured it'd be fun to do a Flickr dump of some of my decent shots from a point-n-shoot Canon SD400 I've been using (exception: the B&W pic of the same girl three times was done back in high school with good ol' fashioned film photography and playing with developing in a *real* dark room). So far I really love the ease-of-use and strong integration Vox has with other 3rd parties like Flickr, this is really slick.
My wife and I decided to invest in a Canon 350D, in part because I want it for the motion graphics work I'm diving into (yea that's right: a still camera for motion work), but also because Jessi's going to brush up on her photography skills (of course, I've always wanted one of these for my own photography as well). So far I can tell this camera's going to rock our world, but after only my second day of owning it I can't help but feel incredibly intimidated and unworthy in that Wayne & Garth sort of way. However, I vow to enlist the help of my prof and some classmates, learn more about the intricacies of photography and ultimately overcome the instruction manual to emerge a triumphant and worthy 350D user.
